Maybe I just didn't get Tropic Thunder but I thought the laughs were few and far between. RDJ role fell flat if you ask me, Jack Black's role was horrible aside from that one laugh at loud moment when he was tied up. I liked some of it, I'll watch it again on DVD. 6.5 out of 10

yeah, you must've missed it. I thought the whole move from start to finish was hiliarious.
RDJ was playing an australian, who was playing a blackman, who decides to dress up as another dude.
That movie was great. It was hilarious seeing all those people in it.

It's one of those you either love it, or hate it.
It has Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr, Tom Cruise, Matthew McConaughey, Steve Coogan, Nick Nolte, Danny McBride...
great cast..great film.. I laughed my bum off...
The Tivo scene is hilarious.. you must see that, to see what I'm talking about</div></div>

Ehh. I'm on the end who hated it... and I normally like Stiller movies. But this time I found my self wanting to leave the theater three quarters through it. I will give you the tivo scene though - that was pretty funny. As well as Robert Downey Jr up until the end. But other than that it was disastrous.

Re: Last movie you watched

I honestly thought Stiller did his thing well. The whole RDJ thing got old after the first 15 minutes of the movie. McConaughey was VERY out of place in this movie. I liked the Cruise cameo, but I wish they would have ran with that a little more. I thought it would have been funny to have some sort of dancing in his underwear(but in the fat suit) as a homage to Risky Business. Some of this stuff is awesome if your easily amused I'm sure, but to me it just felt like a bad episode of Mad TV but with good actors. The writing just wasn't there. Very hit or miss, mostly miss. I thought this would be a laugh a minute riot going in. Though like I said, I'll give it another chance on DVD.

Meet Bill - it has Elizabeth Banks and Jessica Alba in it so the eye-candy rating is about 95 but the movie was ok too.

That is obvious, it just wasn't very good at doing that. Most of the jokes fell flat and I understand the humor it was aiming for. It wasn't that bad, like I said Id give it around a 6.5. Thats a above average rating from me, I'm somewhat picky.

Tropic Thunder - Not Stiller's best effort. It may play a bit better after two or three viewings. It had a few good moments, but for the most part did not flow very well.

Not your typical Stiller comedy.

Tropic Thunder - Agreed with NSSB. Didn't go together all that well and had several boring moments, but overall it was a funny film. The good parts were downright hilarious. One of my favorites was the "land mine" scene near the beginning. If you've seen the movie you know what I'm referring to! LMAO. Overall, I'd give it 7/10. Had some big name actors in it, as well, many who you wouldn't even expect to see.

Step Brothers - Ferrell's best effort since Talledega Nights. He and Reilly work so well together. The scene with Seth Rogen had me in tears.
